Kara is the first one to tell you that you’ll never know what you can find or see through the fresh eyes of curiosity!  Just ask her.  Growing up on a farm in Minnesota she discovered her passion for everything outdoors.

After a very successful 20 year corporate career she decided to ditch the 8-5 job to travel the world and get back to her roots.

While trekking through Peru, Vietnam, and Guatemala she made the decision that she would rather have a passport full of stamps than a house full of stuff.

Love at first sight is how she describes her first trip to Guatemala which has now been her home for the last 4 years.

Because Kara has lived and traveled in many parts of the world, she brings both local knowledge and a global perspective to her tours that make them personal, conversational and accessible, and are tailored to the interests of the guests.

Kara is well known for her saying… When was the last time that you did something for the first time?  A saying she is more than willing to turn into reality for you.
