From the beginning of time, plants have played a significant role in human affairs, influencing medicine and healthcare.
Our 2-day herbal medicine workshop typically involves participants learning about the traditional uses of medicinal plants, herbal remedies, and holistic healing techniques. Here’s an outline of what you might experience during such a workshop:
Day 1:
- Introduction to herbal medicine: The workshop begins with an overview of the history and principles of herbal medicine, including an exploration of the traditional healing practices of the local culture.
- Medicinal plant identification: You will learn how to identify different medicinal plants and their properties, both in theory and through hands-on experiences in the field or botanical gardens.
- Gathering and preparation: Participants may have the opportunity to gather medicinal plants and learn various methods of preparation, such as drying, detection, infusion, or making herbal extracts.
Day 2:
- During the workshop on herbal remedies and applications, you will have the opportunity to dive into the world of herbal medicine and gain practical skills. Here is what you can expect from each aspect of the workshop:
- Hands-on Activities:
The workshop will provide hands-on activities where you can actively engage in making herbal preparations or crafting herbal products. This will involve creating herbal shampoo and soaps, which are natural alternatives to commercial products. Under the guidance of instructors, you will learn the step-by-step process of making these products using herbal ingredients. This practical experience will enable you to develop skills that can be applied in your own herbal medicine practices.
