The cooking class takes place in Chef Teresa’s Tz’utujil home using traditional methods of cooking.  Participants will prepare and cook the food together with the guidance of Chef Teresa. Throughout the class, Chef Teresa will explain the ingredients, tradition, and history behind each dish so you can understand why they are so important to Guatemalan/Mayan culture.

When finished, each dish is served fresh right away. What makes our cooking classes so special and unique is the small class size, the fresh ingredients, and the cooking in an authentic indigenous kitchen. We believe that a cooking class is an interesting and fun way to learn about Guatemalan culture.
