Lake Atitlan is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world located in the highlands of Guatemala in the Sierra Madre mountain range, a major mountain range in Central America.

Most of the volcanoes of Guatemala, part of the Central America Volcanic Arc, are within the range.

This region of the world offers a plethora of diversity not just geographically, but culturally too.

The landscape is characterized by steep forested mountains with three looming volcanoes, a stunning lake, and striking green vegetation engulfed in colorful flowers.
