What can I do as an American living in the US to help Nicaragua? It seems there isn’t much (accurate) news being circulated in the US… Normally when something so awful is happening in another county, Americans are going crazy and spreading “support” all over social media. …Seems like hardly anyone even knows this is happening in Nica. …I’m here now, near León,

(leaving Sunday 😞), but I want to help somehow! I hear many people say that other countries (especially the US) should stay out of this situation (I understand that), but ahhhhh, it kills me! The world should know.

Tourists should (cautiously) still come to the peaceful areas and spend their $$, wealthy expats should do whatever they can to help the locals …I don’t know!? All I know is my heart implodes every time I look at the news here …and especially when I see hotels and restaurants that, only a few weeks ago, had 15 employees and are now down to 2. Not to mention all of the deaths and injuries 😭

…I’ll gladly blast this shit all over social media in the US. …I know it’s not my fight to fight and don’t want to stir up any drama, but seriously, what can be done to help from afar.
