Sunday Brunch

Sunday Brunch El Barrio Restaurant San Pedro La La Laguna

Lake Atitlan Guatemala has a limited offering of Sunday Brunch choices for locals and travelers to Lake Atitlan. My top two choices for Lake Atitlan are Hotel Jardines del Lago and the El Barrio Restaurant San Pedro La La Laguna.

Hotel Jardines del Lago on the Panajachel side of the Lake offers every day breakfast Buffet for Q60, includes coffee and juices. Sunday Brunch they roll out with a stunning spread of food. Yes, you also have one of the best views of the Lake while you enjoy your Sunday Brunch Feast. Service is excellent.

El Barrio Restaurant San Pedro La La Laguna offers a Saturday and Sunday Brunch. Do not let the price fool you at Q40 for this multi course feast. Start with a huge bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola. Follow that with a bowl of homemade soup. Then eggs, omelets, scrambled, on a bun, with numerous sides you can add. Pancakes are the last and final course. The Mimosas for Q12 are refreshing.

Service at El Barrio is very personal and attentive

Service at El Barrio is very personal and attentive. You will never feel rushed to finish. For families with children your kids will enjoy the food and attentive Kids friendly staff. I mean bringing out toys for the kids.

Hotel Jardines del Lago is very easy to find in Panajachel. Just ask or head for the Boats docks to San Pedro.

El Barrio Restaurant in San Pedro is a little harder to find. Off the boats, up the hill, turn left and head to the other side of San Pedro. Again ask EL Barrio is a well know local Restaurant.

San Pedro La Laguna (Spanish pronunciation: [sam ˈpeðɾo la laˈɣuna]) is a Guatemalan town on the southwest shore of Lake Atitlán. For centuries, San Pedro La Laguna has been inhabited by the Tz’utujil people, and in recent years it has also become a tourist destination for its Spanish language schools, night life, and proximity to the lake and volcanos.
