Most of Panjachel’s nightlife, bars and nightclubs, are located near the intersections of Avenida Santander, Calle Principle, and Calle Los Arboles.

A nice cold Cerveza is just what you need after a day hiking. Whether you just climbed Volcano San Pedro, hiked the Santa Catarina Upper Rim, or went zip lining through the forest, when the sun sets in Panajachel there is always a bar or restaurant with an open door ready to welcome you in.
While bars and clubs come and go in Panajachel, the following three have managed the test of time and provide great music, delicious food, and a fun and lively nightlife.

La Palapa located on Calle Principal is a neighborhood bar the features live music, karaoke, open mic, and Friday night poker night. It attracts an eclectic mix of ex-pats as well as backpackers and local tourists. The drinks are good and fairly priced. They have tequila shots for only 5Q.
Pana Rock Café is located on Avenida Santander and features nightly live bands and dancing. Pana Rock draws a younger crowd at night and comes alive after 9:00 in the evening. They have amazing local bands, Latin rock music, drinks, and food. The atmosphere is fun, prices are reasonable, and the drinks are good.
Circus Bar is a cozy bar and restaurant located on Calle Los Arboles and is known for their pizza and pasta, well-stocked bar, great live music, and lively bar scene. It draws a large crowd of both ex-pats and tourists. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and very inviting. Great food and music, good service, and reasonable prices. What more can you ask for.
